The TEAM is a Brooklyn-based experimental theatre collective, spirited by some of the wildest and deepest artists working today.
Once described by The Guardian as “theatrical excavators of American culture, American dreams, and the American psyche,” the TEAM collaboratively creates new works about the experience of living in the United States today to generate dialogue about our nation’s past, present, and future through production and touring.
To date, we have created and toured 12 works, including Mission Drift, RoosevElvis, and Primer for a Failed Superpower. We are currently developing Reconstructing (Still Working But The Devil Might Be Inside). Our work has been seen locally, nationally, and internationally at venues including the Public Theater, PS122, A.R.T., Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre, Almeida Theatre, Perth International Arts Festival, Hong Kong Arts Festival, and more.

The TEAM is a Brooklyn-based ensemble dedicated to creating new work about the experience of living in America today.
The Guardian once described us as “theatrical excavators of American culture, American dreams, and the American psyche.” Combining aggressive athleticism with emotional performances, our work crashes characters from American history and mythology into modern stories, drawing unexpected and sometimes uncomfortable connections across time to touch the raw nerves of the current moment.
