Learn how to translate your vision into a budget in this workshop led by the TEAM’s Obie & CIPA Award-winning Producing Director Emma Orme.
In this 3-hour session, we’ll demystify the budgeting process, starting with the big picture: how you translate your values and artistic goals into predicted expenses. Then we’ll get our hands dirty. You’ll be given an imaginary show concept and scenario and work to create a budget in real-time with other attendees. All participants will leave with a budget template and a set of best practices for your own self-producing process.
At the end, we’ll have a lightning round Q&A on other topics such as: fiscal sponsorship, fundraising, touring, co-producing, festivals, grantwriting, etc.
