Live from Mount Olympus
Live From Mount Olympus is a new audio adventure that dramatizes Greek Mythology for young audiences. The TEAM co-produces this podcast in partnership with TRAX and the Onassis Foundation, and the series was created by Peabody Award-winning producer Julie Burstein. In a Critics’ Pick review for The New York Times, Maya Phillips called the series “delightful[…] Between the rivalries and the affairs, it’s everything tweens catch between the morning bell and sixth period, with the added bonus of fantastical landscapes and magical happenings. But there is also heft to these stories.”
Live From Mount Olympus premiered on Tuesday, February 9, 2021. The most recently released season, Season 3, tells the story of Atalanta. It was written by Nathan Yungerberg and co-directed by Rachel Chavkin, Keenan Tyler Oliphant, Zhailon Levingston, and Ahmad Simmons. Live From Mount Olympus has featured the talents of André De Shields, Vinie Burrows, Jill Frutkin, Divine Garland, Amber Gray, Modesto “Flako” Jimenez, Libby King, Ian Lassiter, Zhailon Levingston, Christina Liberus, Nehemiah Luckett, Jake Margolin, James Harrison Monaco, Kristen Sieh, Jillian Walker, Nedra Marie Taylor, Kimberly Marable, Ahmad Simmons, Eric Berryman, Joanne Hernandez, and more. The TEAM casts the show in collaboration with Epic Theatre Ensemble.
